Vinyl Night wasn’t meant to be a full-blown production—at least not yet. It started as a response to a few Airport regulars asking for something different. Something slower. Something intentional. So we kept it simple on purpose: bring your favorite record, hang out, play some music, and see what happens.
What happened was exactly what 224 is about.
The night wasn’t perfect. We ran into our fair share of technical issues—one record player fully gave out, and the second fought us for a bit trying to connect to the speaker. It wasn’t smooth, it wasn’t polished, and yeah, it definitely set us back time-wise. But shoutout to Jen for coming through and saving the night when we needed it most, she literally solved every problem of the night.
However, despite all of that, people stayed.

By the end of the night, the room had shifted. People were flipping through records, putting each other onto new music, and just existing together in a way that felt real. No one cared that things didn’t go exactly as planned. The music was playing, the energy was right, and that’s what mattered.
We started around 7:30 and ended later than expected due to everything, but no one seemed to mind. If anything, it proved something: this is worth building.
Vinyl Night is going to grow. What started as low-key and experimental is going to turn into something bigger, louder, and a little more badass. With proper turntables, a cleaner setup, and a more intentional experience overall. But we’re keeping the heart of it the same—community, music, and connection.

There’s something about going analog, especially now, in a world where everything is fast, digital, and disposable, vinyl forces you to slow down. To listen. To feel the texture of a song instead of just hearing it. It’s raw, it’s imperfect, and it’s real—and that’s exactly why it matters.
This night reminded me how naturally music brings people together. Strangers become friends over shared taste, or even completely different ones. Conversations happen easier. Time moves differently.
And that’s the point.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, and brought a piece of themselves with their records. And of course, shoutout to Airport—our favorite little dive bar, and honestly, a second home.
