When Does Waiting Become Avoidance? A Reflection on Divine Timing and Action

“Wait on the Lord,” they say.
“Patience is a virtue.”
But how do you know when waiting is faithful obedience,
and when it’s just avoidance dressed in spirituality?

Is your waiting active or passive?
Are you preparing, learning, refining?
Or are you stuck in fear, procrastination, or paralysis?

Divine timing is not a cosmic excuse to delay your life.
It’s a call to align your heart, mind, and action with a higher rhythm.

But alignment requires honesty:
Are you really listening?
Or are you hearing what comforts you?

Are you waiting for permission or empowerment?
Are you guarding your gift or withholding it out of insecurity?

True waiting creates space for transformation.
False waiting creates prisons of indecision.

The difference lies in the questions you ask yourself:
Am I preparing to act?
Or am I hiding from what acting demands?

Faith is a movement, not just a pause.
