Your Light Burns Them: Overcoming Spiritual Attacks

Today my growth looks like anger. It’s red, fiery, and burns. I don’t understand why certain things happen. I don’t understand why people treat others the way they do. I don’t understand why certain people have to go through things. It breaks my heart to see the closest to me question their light — their purpose, their place — when their impact is so great. You don’t have to touch them to feel their embrace. Their light is bright; you see the presence of God in their aura.

The fact that questions have to arise and situations have to happen all because of envy… envy rooted so deep, they don’t even recognize it as that. And I don’t understand — the pain they feel being them is so great, they’d rather critique, erase, and shirk you to make themselves big. At the end of the day, you can only feel pity for them and gratitude for being you. Gratitude that you don’t have a heart like that, that your light doesn’t burn you. The enemy doesn’t attack what is already his.

Their words, actions, and feelings are all based on nothing but their deluded reality that’s embedded in nothing but sin, hurt, and hate — all a reflection of their character. And that’s not to say people can’t like you or call you out; of course they can. But there’s a difference between that and the evil eye. There’s a difference between an argument and a spiritual attack. Don’t confuse where they lack with the idea that you lack. Be so rooted in you, so grounded in your soul, proud of your past, perseverant for your future, knowledgeable of your “flaws,” and still love and grow anyway.

You are worthy of love, praise, and grace — every day, no matter the circumstances. You are a valuable person and contribution to the world, to society. Hold your head high, wear your self-pride on your sleeve, and step with the highest regard. Walk like you were made in God’s image. Do not let anyone break that or shake that. Never let anyone have control over you.

Be cautious with engaging in futile arguments with people who have corrupt minds; steer clear of their company. These individuals are devoid of truth yet believe themselves to be virtuous. They often overestimate their wisdom while lacking the godly understanding of a humble human of God. They are nonentities; their convictions should be on themselves. They judge people for their sins while doing the same thing — just not out loud. They can’t see the correct light and love of God, can’t find an ounce for themselves, so do not expect them to be able to hold you correctly. Remember — light is bright, but it also burns hands not prepared to hold it.
